Our Mission is to serve
the Decatur Community with a variety of information, opinions, music,
entertainment, talk with both LIVE and prerecorded local programs.
Keith
Anderson, Pres. of local Rainbow Push Coalition & founder of
Homework Hangout, and Brian Burcham, VP of All Service
Contracting Corporation built DCR 1650 AM Radio with the hope of
bringing the people of Decatur together. Their goal was to bring to
light the ties that bring us together and try to work out our
differences.
In
2006, we will be focusing on local issues such as an
Aldermanic form of Government, Race Relations, Drug Abuse, Crime,
Education, Health Care, local Politics and other topical issues. We
encourage you to be a part of the discussions by calling in and or being
an ON-AIR guest. Opposing views are always welcome. Our future plans
also include monthly town hall meetings with special guest speakers and
holding on concerts in Decatur.
DCR
1650’s mission is to give the people in the Community an outlet to
voice their opinions, concerns and suggestions about Decatur. DCR-1650
is your Community Radio Station to say what is positive about
Decatur and what you believe would make Decatur an even better place to
